On-boarding Wizard Application

The on-boarding application was the first project that I was given at my time at Security Industry Specialists. The goal of the project was to decrease the amount of time that it took on-boarding candidates complete the wizard. In the state that it was currently in it took some users the upwards of 45 minutes to complete because of usability issues and limitations of using on different devices.

With the company being a large firm with many new employees on-boarding weekly it is a large amount of time for the HR clerks to spend and this application is expected to save at least two hours a day for HR clerks.

Research

The goal for this project was to be able to create an app to help users enjoy air travel more. To figure out what the major issues that people had with traveling I did three interviews with users who traveled different frequencies to get a larger demographic. For these interviews I created a discussion guide and recorded the interviews so no information was lost.

After the interviews I used multiple research tools such as:

  • Affinity Maps

  • Competitive Analysis

  • Personas

Information about what the personas are. How we used them and how it was valuable.
